Gulf Beach Condominium — Groundbreaking & Project Oversight
David joined community and business leaders for the groundbreaking of Gulf Beach Condominium on East Gulf Drive and is providing independent owner representation and project oversight for the new 14-unit Gulf-front development. The project represents another important step in Sanibel’s continued rebuilding and recovery following Hurricane Ian.
David is proud to support CHR and its mission to provide much-needed workforce housing on Sanibel. The Harkey House is helping create housing opportunities for the people who live and work on the island while strengthening the broader community.
SanCap Kiwanis
David is an involved member of SanCap Kiwanis, supporting the organization’s work on behalf of local youth and the Sanibel-Captiva community. His involvement also keeps him connected with fellow residents, business leaders and community organizations throughout the islands.

CareerTech at The Heights Center
David joined fellow SanCap Kiwanis members, community leaders and local business representatives for the opening of CareerTech at The Heights Center. The program creates new opportunities for students while helping strengthen Southwest Florida’s future workforce.

David stays actively connected with local leaders and community members through meetings, workshops and community initiatives. These relationships are an important part of his long-standing connection to Sanibel and the collaborative spirit of the island.
City of Sanibel — Transportation & Planning

Supporting Local Sanibel Businesses
David believes Sanibel’s locally owned businesses are an essential part of what makes the island special. Supporting local businesses means supporting local families, local jobs and the character of the Sanibel community.
Field of Heroes
As an involved SanCap Kiwanis member, David was pleased to learn more about the City of Sanibel’s Field of Heroes initiative honoring the courage, service and sacrifice of America’s heroes. He values opportunities to support programs that bring the Sanibel-Captiva community together.
Current & Upcoming Community Involvement
David is currently involved with the FISH Jog n Jam fundraising committee, the Roots in Resilience committee and the City of Sanibel Vegetation Committee. He is also expected to serve on the fundraising committee for the new CECI preschool building, while providing oversight and consulting related to the building’s construction.
By focusing exclusively on the owner’s interest, this role ensures that nothing is overlooked, assumed, or left unverified.
